Shelby Garmany Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home on Jul. 14, 2024.
Shelby LaRay Garmany, 20, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 11, 2024. Shelby loved her family and she loved them well. She never hesitated to jump in and get her hands dirty with any project her parents or grandparents had going. Shelby was a hard worker. She never shied away from a task and would work until it was done. Shelby was funny from a baby, from her quirky sense of humor and jokes to her Facebook memes, to her Snapchat filters, to her sarcasm. She kept a smile on everyone's face. Shelby loved an adventure whether it was chasing waterfalls or fishing with family. She had a way of seeing God in everything she did. She loved the sunset and could see God's handiwork in them all. She loved animals of all kinds and they loved her in return. She has helped tame feral cats, doctor hurt dogs, and deliver baby goats. She had the biggest heart. She always thought of others before herself and never wanted to be a burden to anyone. She was one of the hardest workers at her church and was always willing to help in every event or service. Shelby loved music and art and had just recently decided she was a museum lover. She played the guitar, ukulele, and clarinet. Shelby loved Jesus and we have no doubt she is with Him.
Shelby was a native of Kensington and was the daughter of Donald and Stacie Garmany. She was a 2022 LaFayette High School graduate. Shelby worked for NHC Fort Oglethorpe as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was a member of Cassandra Baptist Church in Chickamauga, GA. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Gass. Family includes her parents, Donald and Stacie Garmany, siblings, Tyler and Chassy Garmany, grandparents, Brenda Gass, and Donald and Katherine Garmany, her boyfriend, Evan Beavers, and her dog, Dip; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Shelby was loved by everyone that met her. The family invites her friends to her visitation Monday, July 15 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home in LaFayette, GA. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 16 from 1:00 pm until the funeral at 2:00 pm at Cassandra Baptist Church in Chickamauga, GA, with Pastor Glenn Roberts officiating.
Interment will take place at Coulter Cemetery.
