Shelby Jean Nicholson Roach

Shelby Jean Nicholson Roach, age 64, of Westminster, South Carolina, beloved wife of Phil Roach, passed away on December 25, 2025, at the Rainey Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 11, 1961, in Seneca, South Carolina, Shelby was the daughter of Rev. Olin Dee Nicholson and the late Glenda Gail Nicholson. She was employed as a wiring technician with Schneider Electric and was a faithful member of Walhalla Holiness Church. Shelby had a deep love for reading and researching old houses, but her greatest joy came from her family. She was a devoted mother and a proud Nana who cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, Phil Roach of forty-seven blessed years of marriage, she is survived by her father, Rev. Olin Dee Nicholson; her son, Matt Roach, of Westminster; her daughter, Jennifer Roach Burnside, of Seneca; grandchildren, Luke Burnside, Abram Burnside, Gunner Roach and a bonus granddaughter, Zuri Nicholson; and siblings, Barry Nicholson (Terri) of West Union and Libby Sims of Walhalla
Shelby was preceded in death by her mother, Glenda Gail Nicholson, and her siblings, Debbie West, Susan Nicholson, and Lynn Nicholson.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at First Baptist Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Sandifer Funeral Home.
