Sheldon Charles DuBray was born on August 24, 1974 in Pine Ridge, SD to Pershing DuBray and Cleone (Blue Bird) Inderlied. Sheldon made his journey to the Spirit World on October 17, 2025 at the St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.
Sheldon is survived by his mother, Cleone Inderlied of Hot Springs, SD; brother, Conrad DuBray of Hot Springs, SD; sister, Marcella DuBray of Sioux Falls, SD; estranged sister, Ora DuBray of Sioux Falls, SD; sons, Sheldon "CJ" DuBray of Yankton, SD and Nicky DuBray of Wanblee, SD; sister-in-law (and best friend), Darcel Featherman; goddaughter, Krown Jewels Diamond DuBray; very best friend, Cathy Harris of Rapid City, SD; uncle, Howard Blue Bird of Pine Ridge, SD; aunts, Theresa Red Feather-Blue Bird of Pine Ridge, SD and Georgianna Little Bull of Rapid City, SD; and all his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sheldon was preceded in death by his father, Pershing DuBray; brother, Eugene Roy DuBray; grandmothers, Nettie Blue Bird and Eva Gap; grandfathers, James Blue Bird and Eugene DuBray; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Bobby DuBray, Conrad DuBray, Derek DuBray, Mahpiya Not Afraid, Derek Peters, Howard Blue Bird, C.J. DuBray, and Eugene Mata.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Cortez, Jamie Prue, Leo Brown, Ryan Featherman, Julie Mae Long Pumpkin & Family, DuBray Family, Iron Cloud Family, Peters Family, Little Bull Family, and All Friends & Relatives in Rapid City, SD.
