Sheldon Hawkins Obituary

Sheldon Gregory "Greg" Hawkins, Sr., 75, of Westminster went to the arms of Jesus on September 27, 2023, at the Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born on June 14, 1948, in New Windsor, MD to the late Sheldon K. Hawkins, Sr. and Ethel L. (Thomas) Hawkins. He is survived by his devoted wife, Joan L. (Johnson) Hawkins. Also, survived by children Stacy Gardner (Dirk); Angela Shumaker (Brian); Sheldon Hawkins, Jr.; and stepdaughter, Jennifer Biddinger (Brian). Siblings Alan Hawkins, Jimmy Hawkins, Kenneth Snedegar, Sheldon Hawkins, Jr., and Shirley Mills; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 1 granddaughter and sisters Mary Lee Glebensleben and Marilyn Naill, and his dog and best friend, Frankie. He worked in sales for NAPA at the Reisterstown, Finksburg and Eastpoint stores and finished his career delivering parts for Westminster Auto Parts. There will be no service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to BridgingLife Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157 or Carroll County Humane Society, Inc., 2517 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD 21158.
