Sheldon Pinsky

Dr. Sheldon T. Pinsky, a cherished member of the Bellaire, Ohio community, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at the age of 99. Born on November 17, 1925, in Bellaire, Ohio, he lived a long and fulfilling life, marked by dedication to his family and service to his country.

Dr. Pinsky was a member of Temple Shalom, and the former Aqudus Achim Congregation in Bellaire, Oh. He was also a proud graduate of Bellaire High School and The Ohio State University and Medical School. He served as a member of the U.S. Army during World War II, exemplifying the courage and commitment of the Greatest Generation.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Dora (Golub) Pinsky and Ben Pinsky, as well as his brother, Lester Pinsky. Dr. Pinsky leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his surviving family, including his nephew, Norman Pinsky, and his niece, Barbara Pinsky and two close friends, Ellen Gensor and Donald Martin.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home in Bellaire, Ohio, on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a service at 12:00 PM with Rabbi Leif officiating to honor and celebrate the life of Dr. Sheldon T. Pinsky.

He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his community, and his country. May he rest in peace.
