Sheldon W. Rosenstein DDS

Sheldon William Rosenstein, DDS, MS, age 96, was an internationally distinguished orthodontist, cleft lip and palate authority, widely published author, respected educator and worldwide lecturer for over 50 years. Longstanding faculty member of Northwestern University and Lurie Children's Memorial Hospital, University of Illinois, and St. Louis University. Sheldon served honorably in U.S. Navy during WWII as a Dental Officer and was a member of North Suburban Synagogue Beth El for over 60 years. He was the beloved husband for 68 years of Regina Rosenstein, nee Gibbs; loving father of Dr, Byron (Dr. debra) Rosenstein, Dr. Donald (Mary) Rosenstein, and Dr. Robyn (Dr. Kurt) Silberstein; adored grandfather of Dr. Samuel, Joshua, Jacob, and Emma Rosenstein and Anna, Jonathan, and Micah Silberstein; devoted son of the late Simon B. and the late Mary Rosenstein; cherished brother of the late Leonard (Elaine) Rosenstein and the late Blanche Bronstein; dear brother-in-law of Adrianne (late Henry) Mautner, Nan (late William) Harris, and Bruce (Angel) Gibbs; treasured uncle and friend to many. Service Thursday, December 21st, 2:00 p.m. CT at Westlawn Cemetery Chapel, 7801 W. Montrose Ave., Norridge. Interment to immediately follow.
