Sheletha Ann "Fernandez" Howard

Etters, PA - Sheletha Ann Fernandez Howard, age 58, formerly of Etters, PA, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital with her family by her side. Mrs. Howard was born on April 26, 1967 in New Orleans, LA to Paul, Jr. and the late Gerald Mae Petes Fernandez. In addition to her father, survivors include her devoted husband of 37 years, Devin Howard, Sr.; loving children, Dominique Howard, Devin, Jr. and bonus-daughter, Angelica Medina; bonus-children, DeJaNae Fernandez, DeJohn Fernandez, Aireion Brown and Princess Fernandez; cherished grandsons, Zaiden, Adrian and Zayvion Howard, all of Pennsylvania; siblings, Antoinette Fernandez and Blaise Fernandez; nephew, Ronald Smith, Jr. and niece, Rachelle Fernandez, all of New Orleans, LA. Sheletha was blessed as well with her Godfather, Clifton Weaver, Sr., as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her mother, Sheletha is also preceded in death by her sister, Aireanne Fernandez, maternal grandparents, Alton and Florence Petes, formerly of New Orleans, LA and paternal grandparents Helen and Paul Fernandez Sr., formerly of Donaldsonville, LA. Relatives and friends; Priest and Parishioners of St. David Catholic Church; Family, Friends and staff of Xavier University Preparatory and St. Mary's Academy High Schools, St. David Catholic School; employees of West Jefferson High School, CVS, United Healthcare and New Orleans Hilton Riverside Hotel are invited to attend the funeral. A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life and legacy of the late Sheletha A. Fernandez Howard will be held at St. David Catholic Church, 5617 St. Claude Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70117 on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 10 am, Father Pierre Jules, Celebrant.
