Shelia Marie "Shee" Sentino

Shelia "Shee" Marie Sentino departed this earthly life on Monday, February 26, 2024, at the age of 74. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Houston, TX. Shelia was a 1967 graduate of L. B. Landry High School, she continued her studies at Southern University at New Orleans, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1973. After relocating to Houston, TX in 1974, Shelia began a 35 year career with JP Morgan Chase, retiring in 2015. She was a faithful member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church and was very active in many church auxiliaries. Her favorite pastimes were playing cards, especially Bid Whist, and traveling the world with her extended family known as the Golden Globe Girls (GGG's). Beloved wife of 20 years to the late Hubert Sentino. Devoted mother of Mahira Sentino (Terrance) Richardson. Loving grandmother of Madeson Sentino-Robinson. Daughter of the late George and Eliza Simms. Sister of Jocelyn Simms, and the late Melvin, Eddie, Raymond, Malcolm, Franklin, Roland, Irvin, Viola, and Lorraine Simms, and Idonia Simms Gwathney. Aunt of Terry Fleming, whom she loved as a brother. Godmother of Raquel Allison. Sister-in-law of Aaron Forest, Ellenese, Gloria, and Rose Simms; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of First Free Mission Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, March 9, at First Free Mission Baptist Church, 426 Lamarque Street, New Orleans, LA at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the church.
