WATERBURY - Shelley Kathleen Stamp, age 34, entered into eternal peace on October 29, 2022.
She was the beloved daughter of Kathy Daversa and the late Kevin Stamp.
Shelley was born on February 10, 1988, in Waterbury. Shelley graduated Rotella Elementary School, Wallace Middle School, and Crosby High School. She attained her associate degree from Naugatuck Valley Community College and attended both Central Connecticut State University and Bridgeport University. At the time of her tragic passing, she was employed as a paraprofessional for Waterbury Public Schools working with children with special needs. She also had several waitressing jobs in the Greater Waterbury area, always entertaining her customers with her stories. To know Shelley is to love her! She had a heart of gold. She certainly had the gift of gab and was taken from us all too soon. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will missed beyond measure.
Besides her heartbroken mom, Shelley leaves behind her devoted sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Sam Tajildeen of Watertown, her stepfather, John Daversa and his children; Michael and Danielle. The highlight of her life were her nieces, Mia and Ava Tajildeen, whom she loved with all her heart. She was the granddaughter of Mary Joan Pettinicchi and the late Joseph Pettinicchi, and Leroy and Helen Stamp. Left to honor Shell's legacy and cherish her memory are her cousins; Diana Veillette (Rob) and Eric Acosta (Sarah) who were like siblings to her and their children; Lia Santana, Olivia and Lilliana Veillette, Noah, and Zachary Francisco. She is also remembered by her aunt and uncles, Brenda Pettincchi, Brian Stamp, Michael Stamp, and half-sister, Erica Stamp. She was predeceased by her aunt Helen Stamp (Matt). She will be missed by her best friend, Melissa Richter (Matt) and their children Joshua and Gavin, whom she loved as family.
A Memorial gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main Street, @ Southmayd Road, Waterbury. Shelley's funeral service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Mill Plain Union Church at 242 Southmayd Road, Waterbury. All those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church at 10:00. To honor Shelley's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Memories of Shelley Kathleen Stamp
Thomas R. Mulconry

On Sunday morning, October 30, 2022, my cousin Erica Lynn contacted my wife Alice and I to notify us that her sister Shelley, my second cousin, had passed away at the young age of 34. I was much saddened to hear the news. I had last seen Shelley over 30 years ago, when she was just a small child, when she would visit her grandparent´s home in New Haven, CT. I recall her being a beautiful, bright, and precocious child, the apple of her grandmother, my Aunt Helen´s eye. Due to time, distance, and the unpredictable ever-changing factors in life, I would never see Shelley again; however, I would learn of her coming of age, her comings and goings, and small aspects of her life via family gossip and photographs taken on significant family events. Life in an Irish family is like that, where we get to know only little vignettes of our extended family members, but never the true nature of the individual. A close look at Shelley´s photograph reveals a close resemblance to many of her extended family relations. In her wake, Shelley leaves behind her dear immediate and extended family members and numerous friends. Shelley will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In deepest sympathy,
Thomas and Alice Mulconry
Battle Creek, MI
