April 21, 1968 the weather was a cool 40 degrees in Logan, Utah... no one noticed the coolness of the day because hearts were warmed with the happy news of a blonde haired, brown eyed baby girl born to Peggy and Larry Lindquist! Joy and happiness was felt through the valley and in the homes of grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
Shelly promptly brought smiles and love to all.
She never changed.
Shelly grew up in the Logan valley. Attending elementary, middle and high school. Making many friends quickly and influencing each with her kindness, adventurous spirit, optimism, love of music, family, and always sharing her sweet smile.
She graduated high school in 1986.
But her education of and for living life never waned.
Shelly, soon after graduation, went to work for and with her father and brother at Lindquist Auto Parts. Proved to be a very vital and important part of the company success.
At school she met and fell 'forever in love' with the prefect guy. John Frederick Morris
They were married July 21, 1990
Soon, John and Shelly had the opportunity to buy a home in Benson.
Moved out of the city to their small piece of heaven on earth; their little house on a hill; surrounded by corn fields and 'not too close' wonderful neighbors.
With Johns expert talent he remodeled and updated many rooms in the house.
Shelly, happily, put her love of gardening into action; planting flowers, bushes, and trees. She was always landscaping and striving to have a beautiful yard. Shelly had a keen eye for style and decorating. Transformed their home into a "better homes n garden" masterpiece.
She enjoyed going skiing with John; and as soon as they were old enough, took their sons and instilled in them the love of the snow covered mountains and excitement of speeding through the powder! Shelly felt comfortable, peaceful when in the mountains. She loved to hike, wander on the paths and marvel at the wildflowers.
{When Shelly got ill, she so missed and longed to go skiing, camping and hiking)
January 3, 1995 was a splendid day to start the new year.
John and Shelly were blessed with the birth of their first son;
Kyler Frederick Morris
March 25th, 2002 their family grew to four....Scout James Morris was born.
Sadly, her perfect man; John, went to heaven May 29, 2008
She was a sports mom. Whether it be skiing, snow boarding, football or baseball.
She attended every event her boys were involved with. She was a member of a terrific, loving, dedicated "Sports Family". Most of which grew to be lifelong friends... Definitely more like an extended family!
Shelly was very resilient, courageous, stubborn, strong willed and determined.
Of which could be a double-edged sword.
In her words; she was "okay! Regardless of what was wrong, hard or challenging.
Shelly was a giver, never a taker. She had a gentle temperament and soul.
Genuine to a fault.
No enemies. Always found the good in each person.
And only hoped others would look past her weaknesses and what faults She thought she had (none) and just accept her at face value.
Shelly fought hard and long to come through an unfair, devastating diagnosis of breast cancer. Never giving in or giving up. With her loyal family and ladyfriends support and help she battled both physically and spiritually that evil disease.
She and all of us, were elated and celebrated when she marched fearlessly through that fire of hell to be told she was cancer free.
Then the devil tipped his hat once again and put before her yet another battle.
Shelly fought hard Again..
Right to the very moment when her Mr. John lovingly whispered to her;
"come home to me, my queen".
Being so tired and wore down; on Tuesday, June 13, 2023; Shelly reluctantly whispered 'so long for now' to her cherished boys, daddy, brother, friends and other loved family members.
And made her journey to be with her 'perfect man; Her Mr. John'.
Shelly will always be forever loved, cherished, remembered and missed.
We'll all miss ya, Shelly, till we see ya!

What a perfect picture of who sweet Shelly was! Thank you whoever wrote this....I will read it often as I miss her, and always imagine she is still our angel on the hill. Oh it had to be some of the sweetest reunions as she walked through the veil.....

Why do the most precious soul´s go to soon? I can hear her contagious laugh, the identical laugh of her mom Peggy. What an amazing family!! Larry my heart is broken for you you will hold your love´d one´s once again soon. To John and Shelly`s boys be strong even when you can´t. Losing a parent is devastating. But you´ll see soon they are with you and walking beside you. Shany Pooh, Steve Lindley would call you my thoughts and prayers are with your entire family through this difficult time. I can only imagine the family reunion going on in heaven right now.
