Shelly Lee Obermeier, daughter of Richard Paul McWilliams and Juanita Carmen (Smith) McWilliams was born January 15, 1962 in Osceola, Iowa and passed from this life Friday, January 16, 2026 at Cass Health Center in Atlantic, Iowa at 64 years of age.

Shelly has spent most of her life in the Osceola area, she graduated from Clarke Community High School with the class of 1980, she went on to attend SWCC in Creston. She has worked in manufacturing with Furnace Electric, Miller Products, Altec and American Radiator.

Shelly loved her family and enjoyed spending time together. She really enjoyed camping and hanging out with friends and family. Shelly took many trips along the Mississippi River and to Gelena. She will be greatly missed.

Those relatives who preceded Shelly in death were her mother, Juanita McWilliams, brother, Scott McWilliams, grandparents, Cecil "Red" and Aletha Smith, grandfather, Paul McWilliams, and grandparents, Vera and Hoyt Klemme, and very close friend Sheila Goodrich.

Shelly leaves to cherish her memory; son, Brian (Brandie) McWilliams of Ottumwa, IA, daughter, Kelsey (Demetrius) Frazier of Ames, IA, son, Brett (Amanda) Obermeier of Des Moines, IA, grandchildren, Bradlie McWilliams, Braydie McWilliams, Dallas Clark, Austin Clark, Audriana Frazier, Emmitt Frazier, Lane Obermeier, Madilyn Obermeier, father, Richard Paul (Dixie Rinner) McWilliams of Osceola, IA, brother, Steve (Stacy) McWilliams of Osceola, IA, nephew, Gabe McWilliams of Creston, IA, niece, Lindsey (John) Campbell of Decatur, IA, life long friends, Sharon Cole and Charl & David Claussen, many great nieces & nephews, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Shelly's family will gather to visit with friends on Sunday, January 25, 2026 from 2:00 PM from 4:00 PM at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola.

Memorial contributions can be sent to the Clarke County Animal Shelter in Osceola. Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.kalefuneralhome.com
