Shellye Kincaid Perry, 67, of Richmond, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her home on December 1st, 2025. She was born on October 19th, 1958, in Pikeville, Kentucky, to Shelby F. "Greenie" Kincaid, Jr. and Carole England Kincaid.
Shellye was married to her devoted husband, Douglas W. Perry, for 40 years. She was a loving stepmother to Heather Perry Baxter (John) and Bradley Perry (Carla), and a proud grandmother to Alexandra Perry Asher, Abigail Perry Wessling, Jacob Baxter, Grace Baxter, and Samuel Perry. She is also survived by her mother, Carole England Kincaid; her sisters, Kay Kincaid Lotz (Jimmie Lee Johnson), Elicia Kincaid Combs (Gene), and Sherry Boggs; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Shelby F. "Greenie" Kincaid, Jr. and two brothers-in-law: Mike Lotz and Arnold Perry, Jr.
A long-time member of Eastside Community Church in Richmond, Shellye lived a life rooted in faith, family, and love. She spent her career dedicated to helping young people as a social worker and educator. She found joy in her dogs, cherished time with her family, and loved relaxing by the pool. She will be missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Eastside Community Church located at 2010 Catalpa Loop in Richmond, KY, on Tuesday, December 9th at 3:00 PM, officiated by Dr. Virgil R. Grant.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family c/o Eastside Community Church to assist with burial expenses at www.eastsideky.church/give/.
