Shelma Jean Walker, 65, of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away on December 8, 2025. She was born in Hampton, VA, the daughter of Wendell Beverly Jr. and the late Mary Roberts.

Shelma proudly served her country in the United States Navy for seven years, demonstrating dedication, strength, and resilience. Shelma was a woman who loved deeply and lived every day to the fullest. She cherished time with her family, and her sense of humor and infectious laughter brought light to every gathering. She will be forever remembered for her warm heart, vibrant personality, and the way she made others feel welcomed and loved.

She is also survived by her daughter Precious Roberts, son Elbert Walker, and honorary daughter Brittani Warren, all of Williamsburg, VA; seven grandchildren, Izaziah, Elbert, Janayah, Maryah, Brayden, Ben, and Olivia; two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Gary Beverly of Harrisburg, NC, Kelvin Beverly of Yorktown, VA, Anderson Beverly (Damaris) of Tucson, AZ, Dwayne Jones (Natasha) of Newport News, VA, and Wendell Beverly III of Hampton, VA; sister Catina Beverly of California; and a host of other relatives and friends, all of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
