Sheri Stevens Obituary
Sheri was a vivacious, fun-loving person who could light up a room as soon as she walked in. She made her career as an Elementary School teacher, teaching grades from kindergarten to the sixth grade. Her passion for working with children carried over into her life, making sure she was always there to lend a listening ear to her children and their friends and offering guidance to anyone who needed it. She enjoyed playing games with her family, being outdoors, especially in the mountains somewhere. She loved spending time with her family outdoors.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, John Stevens, her mother, Mrs. Joe Ann Taylor, her sons, Andrew "Drew" Stevens (Rebekah), Matthew "Matt" Stevens, and stepson, Cameron Donovan (Alex), and her sister Dee Duett. She also leaves behind 7 nieces and 3 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Joe Allen Taylor.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38119 (901) 767-8930.

I am so sorry to hear about Sheri `s passing. I first met her when we both started teaching at Grandview in 1086. She was so much fun to work with and she was a wonderful friend. She will be sorely missed.

John,Andrew and Matt,
So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother.When I started coaching Andrew in kindergarten in baseball , basketball,and soccer for Ridgeway Baptist Church she was the "team mother".I lived when we would do an activity with the team because she would bring her awesome chocolate chip cookies.During those times she was like a sister to me.Her grandmother attended Ridgeway Baptist Church until she was 100.She was truly someone who made your day better when you saw her.One day those of us who have trusted Christ and accepted his free gift of eternal life will see her again.My prayers are with the entire family including mom , Mrs. Taylor, and sister Dee.
