Sheri Ann (Harlor) Whitt, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, Friday August 15, 2025. Sheri lived in the Columbus area her whole life, graduating from West High School in 1959. She worked from graduation until she retired in 2009 from Mount Carmel East Hospital after 23 years. Her two prior long term jobs were with Ohio National Bank and Rockwell International, where she met her life partner, John Whitt Jr., of 60 years.
Sheri was a fun loving and kind person full of positive energy and brought happiness to many people. Sheri was loyal to family and friends as well as a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church. Some of Sheri's hobbies were cruising in her Mazda Miata convertible, riding horses, canoeing, and other outdoor activities. Sheri is well known for being out and about with family and friends including 30 years of birthday celebrations at Schmidt's. She is also famous for having Sunday / holiday dinners at her house at 2pm. Those who knew Sheri would agree that she had a heart of gold!
Sheri was preceded in death by John Whitt, Jr., life partner and father of thier 3 children. She is survived by their 3 children- John III, Tiffany (Matthew Glass) and Stephanie as well as three loving Grandchildren - Catherine & Sarah Glass and Emily Yanczura. Sheri is also survived by siblings, Barbara Freeman, Kathy Folden, and Dwight Harlor Jr., along with many nieces and nephews.
