Sherman Breckenridge Hellard

In loving memory of Sherman Breckenridge Hellard, who peacefully departed this life on November 13, 2024, at his residence in Frankfort, Kentucky. Born on October 14, 1965, in Frankfort, Sherman was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Throughout his life, Sherman exhibited a strong dedication to his work, contributing his skills to the fields of tree work and roofing. His commitment to his profession was paralleled only by his love for life, music, and his faith in Jesus.
Sherman leaves behind a legacy cherished by his family and friends. He is survived by his devoted mother, Thelma Satterly of Frankfort, and his loving wife, Melanie Cummins Hellard. His children, Nakita Hellard and Coyie Hellard, both of Frankfort, will carry forward the cherished memories of their father. Sherman was the proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Alaina, Jeremy, Brooklyn, Brayden Hellard, and Camila White, who will fondly remember the joyful moments spent with him. Sherman is also remembered by his siblings: sisters Starla Hellard, Tonia Hellard, both residing in Frankfort, and brothers Adam Hellard of Frankfort and Timothy Hellard of Florida. His warm spirit touched the lives of countless nieces, nephews, and friends, all mourning his loss.
Preceded in death by his father, Breckenridge Hellard.
The family invites all who wish to celebrate Sherman's life to attend the funeral service at Clark Legacy Center, located at 3000 Versailles Road, Frankfort, Kentucky, on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Following the service, Sherman will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort. Family and friends are welcome to visit from 11 a.m. until the start of the service at the funeral home.
