Memorial service for Sherri Lynn Ferrell, age 67, of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas with Bro. David Burns officiating. A private inurnment will be held at Posey Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Ferrell passed away at her home on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
Sherri Lynn Ferrell was born on February 3, 1958 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to James Andrian and Mattie Lou (Joslin) Tucker. She married Paul Steven Ferrell in Birthright, Texas on April 15, 1976. Sherri was a cafeteria manager for the Sulphur Springs Independent School District for many years. Sherri loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Birthright Baptist Church.
Sherri is survived by her children, Bridget Lemond (Paul) of Dike, Texas and Cory Ferrell of Sulphur Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Railey Jenkins (Jess) of Emory, Texas, Weston Lemond of Dike, Texas, and Kenny Lemond of Dike Texas; great- grandchildren, Jordon Jenkins, Jasper Jenkins, and Jamey Jenkins; siblings, Nancy Large of Mammoth, Arizona, Rita Martin of Tucson, Arizona, Carla Dixon (Darreyl) of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Mike Tucker of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Archie Tucker (Linda) of Sulphur Springs, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Tucker of Point, Texas; sister, Patsy Large of Tucson, Arizona; and brother-in-law, Danny Large of Mammoth, Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Posey Cemetery Association or the Birthright Baptist Church in her memory.
