Sherrie LaRue Broyles, 78, of Cherokee, TX. passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones on January 28, 2026.

Sherrie was born on September 29, 1947 in Lampasas, TX. to Leonard Barton and Dorothy Ellen Reavis. She started school in Oakalla, TX. after the school closed she transferred to Briggs, then Lampasas High School after consolidation. She graduated from Lampasas in 1965. She attended Texas State University briefly before returning home. Sherrie married Paul Henry Broyles on August 21, 1970. They made their home in Cherokee, TX. where they raised their two boys, Alex and Walt. Sherrie loved the outdoors, she enjoyed a good roping, feeding the cows and horses, listening to Willie's Roadhouse, and an ice cold beer.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Henry; two sons, Alex Broyles and wife Ann of Spring Branch, and Walt Broyles and wife Laura of Mason; a sister-in-law, Debra Reavis of Oakalla; grandchildren, Chase Maddox and wife Holly, Brenlea Broyles, Laney Lastly, Kimbrea Broyles, Cealey Broyles, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Barton and Dorothy Reavis; a brother, Eugene Reavis.

Special thanks from the family to America Rocha, Virginia Reyes, and Rena Flores for their compassionate caregiving.

Pallbearers: "Paca" Martinez, Miguel Perales, Juan Gonzales, Mario Garcia, Miguel Rocha, and Efrain Hernandez.
