Sherrie Larkin

Sherrie Lynn Larkin was born in Ogden, Utah on November 5, 1949. Her life was a rich tapestry interwoven with threads of creativity, wit, and generosity, and she left an indelible imprint on the hearts of all who knew her. Sherrie was a woman of many talents-her hands were rarely still. Whether she was refinishing furniture, crocheting, knitting, crafting, sewing, or immersed in a good book, she found joy in every moment and shared that joy with everyone around her. Her thoughtful nature was most evident in her service to others, as she spent countless hours volunteering for the 4-H, scouting, and serving as a Relief Society member and Cub Scout Master in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Sherrie's most cherished roles were those of mother and friend. She was the loving mother and friend to all she knew. Her children were her world, and so were her grandchildren and she was their guiding light, always there to lend a listening ear, share a bit of wisdom, or offer a comforting hug. Sherrie was also a devoted daughter to Dale Penrod and Inez East Penrod, and a loving wife to her late husband, Lynne Larkin. Her generous spirit was a beacon of hope and strength to her family, her friends, and her community. Her unique sense of humor and her infectious laugh brought joy and laughter into every room she entered.

Sherrie's life was a testament to the verse from the Book of Mormon, Alma 37:6: "By small and simple things are great things brought to pass." She believed in the power of small acts of kindness, and her life was a beautiful tapestry of those acts. Sherrie will be remembered not only for her vibrant spirit and zest for life but also for her unwavering faith and her dedication to service.

Services entrusted to Myers Mortuary. A viewing will be held in honor of Sherrie on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM MST and on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 9:00 AM MST at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah, 84404. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM MST at the same location.
