Sherril F. Langdon

MUNCIE – Sherril F. Langdon, 91, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, October 21, 2025 at her home.
She was born on September 30, 1934 in Shea, Tennessee, the daughter of Clifford and Evelyn (Anderson) Welch and graduated from Jellico High School in Tennessee. She married Arthur V. Langdon, Jr. on June 18, 1955 in Indiana.
Sherril worked many jobs to support her family in her primary role as wife and mother. She was dedicated to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Her favorite places to be were in her garden tending her flowers and with her family. She also enjoyed sewing, crafting, remembering and calling everyone in the family on their birthdays and was the proud leader of the Welch Family.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherrie Douthitt, Lesa and Jo; four grandchildren, Samantha and David Bell, Ashley Langdon (Will), Michelle Eshelman and Tori Langdon; six great-grandchildren, Zackarie, Korie, Elise, Evy, Evalyn and Ryan; two great-great grandchildren, Zuri and Benaiah; one brother, Reece Welch; two sisters, Jolene Hare and Bobbie Chilcote.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Arthur V. Langdon, Jr. on June 13, 2008; one son, Brent Arthur Langdon; one grandson, Zachary L. Douthitt; two sisters, Joyce Willis and Wanda Rohlfing; three brothers, Lindon Welch, T.J. Welch and Royce Welch.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Ronald Naylor officiating. Cremation will take place following services.
Family and friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
