Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Pope Nance; and brother, Arthur Pope Nance, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, James Clifton Cummings, III; mother, Helen Gray Taylor; son, Adam Lee Cummings; grandson, Adam James Cummings.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

I am so sorry for your loss and deeply hurt by finding out so late. I will always keep Sherry in my memory along with the fun & crazy times we all had together. You will been truly missed Sherry & We will LOVEU , Always. Rest in Peace now. I´m sure you are where you wanted to be... Resting in the arm of your Lord & Savior. Until we meet again, I will miss you every day.

Sherry has been apart of my family for almost 30 years she was my mom´s best friend. We met her because she was our neighbor and my brother was being stung by a bunch of bees and sherry saw and came and snatched his shirt and beat the bees off to save his life. Sherry and Jim have always been like a mama and dad to me. We will forever miss you fly high beautiful I love you always
