It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sherry Cummins. Sherry was born on June 5, 1944, and departed this world peacefully on February 2, 2026, she was 81 years old. Sherry was born on June 5, 1944 in Sullivan, IN the daughter of Clinton and Ruby (Evans) Darrough. She married Clarence Cummins on July 7, 1962 and he preceded her in death on July 27, 2002.
Sherry dedicated much of her professional life to the advertising and marketing field, serving as Advertising Manager for Niehaus Home Center for many devoted years. Her creativity and passion for her work left an enduring mark on those who had the privilege of collaborating with her.
Beyond her professional achievements, Sherry was a talented artist and a proud member of the Northwest Art Guild. She found joy and fulfillment in painting and drawing, skillfully expressing her artistic vision while participating in numerous art shows throughout her life.
Sherry is survived by her beloved daughter, Kelly Cummins, and her husband Tony Jamero of Indianapolis, IN; her sisters, Ann Copp and her husband Roger of Lawrenceville IL, and Linda Schiavone of Sebastian, FL. Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Ruby Darrough, and two brothers, Clinton "Bud" and Steven Darrough.
Friends may visit with Sherry from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN. Sherry will be laid to rest next to her husband Clarence in Memorial Park Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Sherry and her family.
