Sherry Lynn Davis, age 67, passed away on February 16, 2026 in Springfield, MO.

Sherry was born on March 31, 1957, in Ft. Worth, TX to Jack and Carolyn McGinnis. Sherry was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend whose love for her family and her pets knew no bounds. She found joy in the simple things-time spent with loved ones, caring for her animals and being present for those she cherished most.

Shery is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Denny "Tom" Davis, a proud military veteran.

She is survived by her son, Johnny Owens and wife, Jamie and their children, Jacob Owens and Lacey Field, along with Lacey's husband, Carson Field and their son, Nathan. She is also survived by her daughter, Melissa Gott and husband, Robert Gott and their children, Shawnna and Billie.

Sherry is further survived by her sister, Donna Hoover and her children, Sheila King and husband, Justin and their children, Matthew and Emily Hopper, Kelly Nelson and her children, Luckey, Sally and Katie, Roger Hoover and his children, Hadley and Gavin; her brother, James Steddum and his wife, Katrina and their children-Kimo and his wife, Alexa and their children; Leilani Gray and husband, Sean and their daughter, emery, as well as Miki and Amber Alexander. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.

Shery will be remembered most for deep love for her family and her pets and for the kindness she shared so freely with others.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
