Sherry Drum Obituary
Sherry Diane Sellers Drum, age 79, of Cherryville, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Robin Johnson Hospice House. She was born May 7, 1945, in Gaston County to the late Franklin Cline and Mazel Pauline Brown Sellers. Sherry was a graduate of Tryon High School and retired from the Textile Industry. She enjoyed working puzzles and swinging on her front porch. She cherished the moments spent with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Troy E. Drum; brother, Ronnie Cline Sellers; and sisters, Billie Ann Sellers, Frankie Sellers, Penny Goins, and Vickie Lowman.
She is survived by her son, Glenn Drum and wife, Peggy; grandsons, Jon Drum and wife, Leslie and Michael Drum; step grandson, Garrett Moses; great-grandson, Lucas Drum; sisters, Pat Mitchem, Shelby Jean Sneed, and Kimmie Heavner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:40 PM, Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Carpenter-Porter Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 PM at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Matt Thomas officiating.
