Sherry Louise Trent Fish, went home to her Lord and Savior on July 11, 2025, following a brave battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Pastor Terry Larsen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service and other times at the home, 9228 US Hwy 29 Business, Ruffin, NC.

Sherry was born January 22, 1977, in Greensboro, N.C. to Larry Wayne and Delores Whaley Trent. She graduated in 1995 from Rockingham County High School. She has worked in food and retail service but most recently was an assistant manager at Advance Auto in Reidsville.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed painting, planting flowers; especially sunflowers and white daisies, kayaking down in the river, collecting seashells at the beach, and rocks at the river. She loved and appreciated God's beautiful sunsets.

Sherry was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; William and Louise Whaley, Doris and Chuck Carter, and Bobby Trent; uncle Russell Whaley; aunt Judy Welch; uncle Ed Welch.

She is survived by her parents and son Joseph Fish of the home; daughter, Skylar Ann Fish; son, Thomas Wayne Fish of Waynesville, NC; two brothers, Robert and William Trent; two nieces, Alexis and Hayley Trent; nephew, Remington Trent; a very special friend, Susan Riddell of Cullowhee, NC; and husband, Stephen E. Fish and mother in law, Ann Somers Fish of Eden, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Wilkerson Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
