Sherry Lorraine Edwards Kramer, 79, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Sherry was born October 8, 1945, in Salt Lake City, Utah the oldest child of Mary Delene Williams and Robert William Edwards.
Sherry graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City in 1964. She married Frank A. Kramer on June 16, 1965, in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a military wife, standing by Frank's side for 23 years of his service in the navy. Military life involved frequent moves; some of Sherry's favorites were to Japan, Mississippi, and Southern California. Even though the marriage did not last through this lifetime, Sherry spectacularly raised their 5 children as a single mom with unmatched strength, courage, and love.
Sherry strongly believed in the importance of education and, despite all her family's moves, worked hard to further her education class by class and college by college through many naval transfers. Her persistence paid off and she was able to complete her education with a Master's Degree in English and Math with an emphasis in Special Education from Westminster University in Salt Lake City. She became a teacher of Special and Gifted Education. Later, Sherry worked on the Navajo Nation Reservation in Window Rock, Arizona as a math and English high school teacher and college professor until her retirement. Sherry enjoyed her career and the opportunity to learn of the Navajo culture and traditions. After her retirement, Sherry moved to Phoenix, Arizona and worked in the telecommunications industry until returning to Salt Lake City to be with her widowed mother till her mother passed away in 2016.
Sherry was well-known for her passion for genealogy and her family's personal history, a passion she shared with her father. She loved all kinds of culture and traditions, old movies, road trips, music by Frank Sinatra and The Rat Pack, Elvis Presley, and Neil Diamond. Most of all, Sherry loved spending time with her family.
Sherry is survived by her children Frank (Anna Jean), Kristina (Steven) Hood, Karen Myers, Keith, Kelli (Troy) Ricks; 26 amazing grandchildren; siblings Bob (Denise) Edwards, John (Shawna) Edwards, Cathy (Rod) Beckstead, Mary Sue (Andy) Floisand, and sister-in-law Julia Edwards.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mary Edwards, and her cherished siblings David Edwards and Lorene Savage Killsnight, and Lorene's husband Dalroy Killsnight.
