A visitation for Ms. Sherry Pierce Moore, 64, of Carthage, Texas will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13,2023 at Hawthorn Funeral Home.
Ms. Sherry Diane Pierce Moore was born September 12, 1958, in Carthage, Texas. She passed this life June 6, 2023, at her home in Carthage, Texas. Sherry was born to the marriage of Arthur Everett and Tommie Anderson Pierce, Sr. She was a native Texan born and raised in Carthage Texas graduating with the Bulldog class of 1976. She would spend her career as a clerical worker working many years for Leisure Lodge Nursing Home in Carthage. She was a member of the Liberty Chapel Baptist Church.
Sherry loved country music, dancing and collecting owls. She loved her Lord and family above all else. She cherished time with her kids and grandkids. She is preceded in death by her parents; and son, Rusty Gfeller; brother Kenneth Hight, and stepfather, Bill Hight.
Ms. Moore is survived by her loving daughter, Wendy Kyrish of Carthage; siblings, Everett and Mary Pierce of DeBerry, James Hight of Lufkin, Jasper and Virginia Pierce of Carthage; special first cousin, Lynda Berry of Henderson; grandchildren, Kelsey Weidner, Julie Weidner, Thomas Weidner, III, William Weidner, and Emilee Keller; great grandchildren, Kalaya Jackson, Kamdyn Jackson, and Skylar Coffee.
