Sherry Elizabeth Morgan “Sherry Berry”to her family age 61, unexpectedly passed away on October 16, 2025. She was born in Lake City , Florida, on June 14, 1964 to loving parents Riley and Diane Morgan.
She grew up in Hollywood, Florida and was a kind, beautiful, smart, gifted athlete. Sherry was always a champion for the underdog and very loyal to her family. The only one time she was ever called into the principal’s office was when she was standing up to the “high school mean girls” for picking on her sister. She was on the swim team in Middle School and the basketball and volley ball team in High School. Sherry graduated from Florida Bible Christian School and went on to obtain a degree from Broward Community College. She continued sports on a women’s softball league until she joined the Army Reserves with her sister Terri. Sherry was injured when she tripped on a cable while helping her daughter ride her bicycle in 1998. She endured many procedures and surgeries to try to correct her injury. Sadly she suffered from complications of this injury for the rest of her life. Through her pain she was still brave, kind and always thinking of others especially her children.
She is survived by her husband, Matthew Evancik; her daughters, Amy and Jamie Evancik; her son, Richard (Alexis) Mozzott; her grandchildren Riley Rae and Zane Mozzott; her parents Riley and Diane; her sister, Terri (Robert) Rothman, her brother, Sonny Morgan and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There will be a Memorial Service for her on November 8th between 1:00 PM and 3:00PM at Boyd-Panciera Funeral Care 1600, N. University Drive, Pembroke Pines, Fla 33024.
