It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Sherry Mort. She is a beautiful soul that left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
A mother's love was not just a feeling, but a way of life. She taught the importance of empathy and understanding, showing that kindness can make a world of difference. Her selflessness was evident in everything she did, always putting others before herself. Her generosity knew no bounds. She was a kind, generous person that loved people.
She was born in Wyoming and lived most of her adult life in Northwest Oregon.
She has multiple Degrees. She had a love of learning and spent countless hours reading.
She loved traveling, new adventures, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents, son, Shane Heiden, and brother Rick Terpening.
She is survived by her husband John Mort Jr of 37 years, 8 children, 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Surviving children are Tiffany Heiden, Shawna Cunningham, Tabitha McGlaughlin, Anna Mort, Bessie Mort, Angel Mort, Chelsea Mort & Jonathan Woodman-Mort and spouse Mandy
Surviving grandchildren: Richard Pitts spouse Kylie Pitts, Branden Pitts spouse Mckenzie Pitts, Dawsen Pitts, Justice Cunningham, Rayvyn Cunningham, Daisy Cunningham, Damian McGlaughlin, Ivy McGlaughlin, Austin Heiden, Trenten Heiden, Kiara McHone Spouse Chase, Kylee Goodman, Nicole Goodman, Olivia Goodman, Sebastian Moreno, Neveah Hosier, Alexia Mort, Demitri Mort and 8 great-grandchildren.
She will be terribly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude, any local domestic violence center, or directly to spouse for funeral expenses.
