Sherry Ann Scheriger Pierce ,83, passed away at her home on July 27,2025.

Sherry was born in Centralia, Illinois on March 2, 1942, to James A. Scheriger and Bessie Dean Scheriger. She moved to Texas with her parents and siblings when she was 14 years old. They lived on Possum Kingdom Lake, and she went to Graham High School.

She participated in a beauty pageant for Miss Possum Kingdom Lake and received her Beautician's License at the age of 17. She later married Gene A. Pierce of Jermyn, Texas in October of 1962. In October they would have been married for 62 years.

She enjoyed doing hair. She loved to sew and make her children's clothes. She loved to paint, and she was also owner of Pierce Video in Gordon and Ranger, Texas. She always made giving back to the community a priority.

She was preceded in death by her brother Richard Andrew Scheriger of Graham,Texas; her daughter, Janice Sue Batchler and her son-in-law Bill Batchler.

She is survived by her husband, Gene A. Pierce of Possum Kingdon Lake; son, James Pierce of Glen Heights, Texas; brother,Jerry Scheriger of Jacksboro, Texas; grandsons,Preston Brice Batchler of Dallas Texas; Ryan Chase Batchler of Andrews of Texas and a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews and great friends.

Memorial Service is August 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM
