Sherry L. Ruth

Sherry L. Ruth, 53, of Bethel, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 15, 2026. She was the loving wife of over 28 years to David A. Ruth.

She was born in Schuylkill County to Lee James, husband of Stephanie, of Shoemakersville, and Nancy (Hollenbach) James of Kempton.

Outgoing and friendly, Sherry was a kind soul willing to help anybody in need. For the last seven years, she worked as the receptionist at the Quality Inn of Midway.

She cared deeply for her family and treasure time together. She loved flowers, especially her roses and sunflowers. Her love of beautiful things extended to an enthusiasm for tattoos. Sherry especially loved time at the beach.

She was a great person who will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, David Ruth; her children, Sara Ruth (partner Avery Gonzalez Miller), Travis Ruth, and Caitlyn Ruth; parents, Lee and Nancy; sisters, Tracey Hoppes (Keith) and Michelle Geisinger (Gary); and brother, Brian James.
