Sherry Renee Smith-Messer, age 46, passed away on July 6, 2023, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. She was born on June 6, 1977, in Cleveland, OH, to her loving parents Gary Smith and Pamela Blake.
Sherry was a devoted mother and her greatest joy came from her children. She is survived by her beloved children, Brittany Smith, Kenzie Cooper, and Cayden Webb. Sherry's love and guidance will forever shape their lives, and her memory will be a source of strength for them.
In addition to her role as a mother, Sherry was a loving sister to Teresa Amburgey and Lana Gale Martin. She held a special place in the hearts of her nieces and nephews: Sasha Patterson, Misty Patterson, Johnny Patterson, Josh Patterson, Shane Noble, Robert Stofko, Alanna Patterson, and Gwen Morgan. Her presence brought joy and laughter to their lives, and her memory will continue to inspire them.
Sherry found soulmates in Steve Geffert and Milton Cooper, whose love and support brought her great happiness. Their companionship and shared experiences created lasting memories that will be treasured by those who knew her.
Music was one of Sherry's greatest passions, and it brought her immense joy throughout her life. She found solace and comfort in its melodies, which touched her soul. Sherry's love for music was a reflection of her vibrant and expressive spirit.
Above all, Sherry was a woman who believed in the power of love. Her deep desire to love and be loved defined her relationships and endeared her to those fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her.
Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, July 23, 2023, from 12 to 2 p.m., at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a repass will be held afterwards.
