Sherry Lynn (Laurent) Spallone, beloved wife, mother, and devoted friend passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, March 29th, 2025, surrounded by love and family. Born on June 22nd, 1956 in Toul, France, Sherry immigrated to Houston,Texas with her mother and grew up in the Heights. She was married to Steven Spallone and they were blessed with a wonder of a son, Nathan David Spallone. Sherry attended the University of Houston where she studied Drama She was an aspiring actress and model as well as a hair stylist.
A deeply intelligent woman, Sherry lived with an unquenchable thirst for truth and knowledge, often challenging assumptions and conventions. Her vibrant spirit was reflected in her sharp, insightful humor, influenced by her love for the works of Mark Twain, C.S. Lewis and Douglas Adams to name a few.
Sherry became an avid student of biblical prophecy. Her faith provided her with strength, purpose, and enduring comfort, especially during challenging times. Above all, Sherry cherished family. She worked diligently to build a nurturing, closely-knit home filled with love, wisdom, and laughter. Her family was at the very heart of her world. Sherry loved all animals. Seeing them mistreated hurt her deeply. In the early 1990's she championed the "Save the Dolphin's" campaign and was a spokesperson for Earth Island Institute to help raise awareness of their plight.
She was a feeder: Wild birds, stray cats and dogs, and people. As for the latter she was a self-taught but very accomplished Chef. Her dishes benefited by her highly refined sense of smell and taste. She enjoyed being in her workshop creating room box miniatures with an uncanny level of detail.
Sherry was pre-deceased by her mother: Renee (Laurent) Clifton, Father: Harvey D. Arnold, Uncle: Claude Laurent. Uncle: Robert Laurent. She is survived by her husband, Steven Spallone, son, Nathan (Spallone) Adara; brother, Sam Clifton; sister, Madeleine Clifton; nephew, Zack Clifton; niece, Megan Clifton; nephew, Michael Quast; nephew, Mark Quast; cousin, Piere Laurent; Cocker Spaniel, Natasha; "Uncle", Gary Moglovkin.
She will be remembered fondly for her generous spirit, profound intellect, deep faith, and fierce dedication to the truth and the one truth that truly mattered to her. Family and home. Sherry will be missed profoundly.
