He was born on February 24th, 1965, in Mayfield, KY to Elvis E. Bone and Martha Dalton. He earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Tennessee- Martin. Michael went on to retire from the Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole after serving for 25 years. He enjoyed cooking, collecting guns, gardening and reading. He was an avid collector on books on Presidents.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Elvis E. Bone; stepfather, Richard Dalton; and father-in-law, Tom McClanahan.
He is survived by his wife, Claire Bone; daughter, Delaney Bone; mother, Martha Bone; sister, Kim Bone; and mother-in-law, Linda McClanahan.
The family wishes to extend gratitude towards Covenant Hospice and friends in Belmont West community.
Funeral services will be held at Click Funeral Home on Middlebrook Pike on Saturday, March 21st, 2026. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM and a celebration of life will start at 2:30 PM. Jerry McBee will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes (Formerly JDRF), ADA, or Children's Hospital in Knoxville.
