Sherry Helen Lee (Pyer) Steiner, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, at the age of 77, in New Florence. She was born on August 18, 1948, in Johnstown, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Catherine (Atwell) Pyer. Also preceded in death by son Jason Adams, daughter Theresa Pyer, sister Michele Evans and brother Craig Pyer.
Sherry was the devoted loving wife of Kenneth Steiner, and together they nurtured a warm and caring family. Survived by, daughters Joleene Adams and fiancé David Cocchia, New Florence; Connie DeFeo and husband Joesph, Florida; sons Ken Steiner, Jr, and wife Cindy, Johnstown; and Chuck Steiner and wife Brooke, Seward. Grandchildren Autumn Cameron and husband Tyler, Juliana and Joseph DeFeo, C.J., Dakota, Brandon, Amanda, and Marion Steiner, and Summer Krepps. Great grandchildren Levi and Jameson Cameron, E.J. Krepps, Jaxon, Skyler, Andria, Asher, and Kaiden Steiner, Maurice and Emberleigh Ortiz. Sister-in-law Rebecca McAdams, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
Her kindness and warmth extended beyond her family, as she touched the hearts of many in her community. Sherry was a past president of New Florence Vol. Fire Co. and New Florence Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Aux. She served as a Special Olympics coach of Ice skating and roller skating in Florida. She enjoyed attending stock car races with her husband. Her greatest joy was being a Gigi.
In honoring her life and legacy, Sherry's wishes were for no public visitation or services. Arrangements in care of Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence.
