Sherwood Grinter Obituary
In his youth, Sherwood accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined the Main Street Baptist Church (now the Mt. Olive Baptist Church).
Sherwood was a self-employed Carpenter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Shaper Wortham, and his daughter, Shermene Sharp.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his children, Nicole (V.T.) Torian, Mario Sharp, and Derrius Sharp, siblings; Marcia Johnson, Deborah Jones, Carol (Gerald) Gould, Regina Grinter, Linda Maxie, and Larry (Angela) Grinter; three adopted children, Justin Nelson, Rachel Nelson, and Richard Nelson; stepfather, Jessie Gray; 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A devoted friend, Gloria Jones.
