Derek's Obituary

 

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Derek Jude LeBlanc, 24, who passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015, at his residence.

 

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 10:00 am.  A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday.

 

Fr. Rusty Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.

 

Derek loved spending time with his wife and dog, Bennet.   He also loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved working on his truck. He also loved his job as a level two x-ray technician. Derek lived life to the fullest and lit up any room he walked into with his contagious smile.

 

He is survived by his loving spouse, Malorie LeBlanc; mother, Diana LeBlanc; father, Danny LeBlanc and wife Kelly; brother, Shane LeBlanc; mother-in-law, Kellie Douet and spouse Dean; sisters-in-law, Korie Arceneaux and spouse Blake, and Abbie Douet; brothers-in-law, Taylor Douet and spouse Mahjie and Logan Douet; grandfather, Dutel Delahoussaye; aunts, Linda Montet and husband Wayne, Kitty Maturin and husband Glenn; uncles, Danny Delahoussaye and wife Deanna, Gerald "T-Goo" Delahoussaye and wife Monica, Craig Delahoussaye and wife Sheri, Ronnie Mallet and wife Betty, Johnny LeBlanc and wife Phyillis, Chris LeBlanc, Bryan LeBlanc and wife Sonja, and Tancy LeBlanc; godchildren, Laura and Laila; nieces, Sydney and Emeri; nephews, Asher and Liam.

 

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Lula Mae Delahoussaye, Herbert and Shirley LeBlanc.

 

Pallbearers will be Jesse LeBlanc, Brian Cormier, Daniel Thomas, Shane LeBlanc, Blake Arceneaux, and Aubrey Broussard.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be T-Goo Delahoussaye, Craig Delahoussaye, Dean Douet, Beau Guidry, and Danny Delahoussaye.
