Shirley Anne Byard Alimento, age 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 7, 2025.
The Fairmont, West Virginia, native was the daughter of the late Isaac and Pearl Byard.
Shirley cherished her family and friends above all else. Known by many for her wonderful cooking, her love of traveling and the many hobbies that brought her joy, she lived a life full of warmth, wit, and an eagerness to please those around her. She loved being surrounded by good company and had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever she went. Her kindness, spirit, and the memories she created will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Frank Alimento, her son, Kris Alimento (Jennifer), her daughter, Torie Alimento (Andy), one sister, Deloris Conway, and six grandchildren: Brett, Mckenzie, Natalie, Zaire, Kendall, Norah, and Asher.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel and will resume Friday, December 12, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, followed by entombment at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.
