Mrs. Shirley Sheriff Ankerich, age 69 of Ansley Drive, Lavonia, Ga., passed peacefully at home on Thursday, January 20, 2022 surrounded by family.
She was born on August 18, 1952, to the late William Herbert Sheriff and Gerldine Sheriff Plunkett in Stephens County, GA.
She attended Hartwell Church of God and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Ankerich is survived by, daughters; Tabitha Hill (Mark) of Royston, GA., Breanna Stansell of Hartwell, GA., Tammie Sheriff of Carnesville, GA., Son; Scotty Stansell of Hartwell, GA., step-daughter; Angie Sprayberry (Scott) of Homer, GA., siblings; Leigh Teasley, Patsy McCall, Gail Mize, Beverly Jo McAllister, grandchildren; Cruz Womack, Faith Wood, Amber Hill, Garrett Hill, Gray Lundsford, Grace Lunsford, Gatlin Lunsford, Scarlett Chasteen, great-grandchildren; MaKenna Hill, Collin Womack, Kensley Womack, Brayson Lunsford, Peyton Lunsford, Blakeley Bird, Jett Jones, and Fallon Lunsford. She is preceded in death by her parents and late husband, Douglas Ankerich.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Shirley Ankerich will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at one o'clock in the Chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors with Rev. Jerome Hill officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 5 - 7 p.m. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
Arrangements are under the care of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell.
