Funeral services for Ms. Shirley Baker will be held Monday, May 22, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gibson County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Ms. Baker, age 85, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, at NHC in Milan surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Gibson, TN to the late Tommy and Hedi (Sykes) Volner. Shirley has previously been employed at Milan Army Ammunition Plant and was retired from WSW. Shirley loved to read, travel, and find treasures with her metal detector.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Raymond and Dee Volner, Paula Gordon, June Utley; great-great-grandson, Brison Cole Tims.
She is survived by her children, Ronnie Baker (Delores Jones), Tony Baker (Janet), Rita Galloway (Larry), Dee Baker, Donna Baker; brother, Bill Volner; sisters, Johnnie Thompson, Cathy Lunsford, Brenda Thompson; grandchildren, Josh Baker (Crystal), Patricia Mitchell (Mick), Angel Chandler (Carrie Ann), Chrystal Montgomery (Robert), Stormey Crocker (Carol), Lori Beth Butler, Chase Pinson (Heather), Jesse Baker, Derek Baker (Tonya), Alan Baker, Danny Joe Watwood, Adam Watwood; 31 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Those honoring her as pallbearers will be: Josh Baker, Jared Baker, Chase Pinson, Wyatt Butler, Evan Tims, Zach Barker, Jesse Baker, Derek Baker. Honorary pallbearers: Larry Galloway, Robert Montgomery, Stormey Crocker.
