You were so loving, caring and attentive! Reminiscing when I was a little girl to date; your visits to Matlboro were so fun. You would bring pastries from Overlook Farms stand or your own delicious baked goods that you ALWAYS said you shouldn't have because you were watching your weight. You and Mom talking up a storm over coffee and your loving visits when I was sick. Mom and I visiting you at your lunch break at the Thruway. I was always excited when we all were going to Aunt Shirley's house! I kept asking in the car,"Are we there yet?" I was filled with anticipation then. When I saw the silo sitting low in my seat looking out car window we were getting closer. Family vacations, holidays and events, miles stones you always showed your love and were always there. Your "wet naps" to check and clean my face so you could take a picture with your camera. You made specialized scrapbooks for everyone. You kept all cards and letters from everyone. You were always there and supportive for everyone always. Thats who you are. You were a strong example for sure e.g. dont let things get you down enjoy the good times, think good thoughts. I loved you telling stories about you growing up and when my cousins were babies and them growing up. I could listen for hours. I will miss our times and talks and rides to go to your grandchildrens games or just errands and to eat. Watching you watch the Yankees was great and our classic good bye waves on your front porch to visitors we would have come over when I was up from Florida. I always miss you saying: " Doesn't that just jar your preserves?" When you were just a bit frustrated.
Im so blessed you were in my life and I know many others feel the same.
I know your making your classic meals, cookies, zucchini bread and"Shirley cake" right now with a smile with all who went before you. My dear Aunt Shirley, I am doing our classic waving to you now. Love you and miss you Aunt Shirley. You will be missed by all.

Aunt Shirley, I will miss our outings to visit everyone. Playing cards, cooking, baking, and talks and dancing to country music in your kitchen. Laughing and loving I will cherish always.
All the love and condolences to my family, I love you all. Like Danny said: "Heaven sure got a good one".
Your niece,
Dawn
