July 30, 1940 – February 20, 2025
Shirley Maxine Blanchard, 84, of Augusta, Maine, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025, She was born on July 30,, 1940, in Portland, Maine, a daughter of Francis and Louise Wyman.
She dedicated her life to her family as a devoted homemaker. She was married to her beloved husband, Earl Blanchard, for 66 years, and together they had eight children, Earl Jr, David, Cheryl, Sheila, Gordon, and Bruce. They built a life full of love and cherished memories.
Shirley's greatest joys in life were her family, faith, and hobbies. She was a talented crafter, enjoying crocheting, ceramics, baking, and flower gardening. She found happiness in puzzles, camping, and caring for animals. Her passion for music was evident as she loved listening to Christian and Christmas music, especially songs by Elvis Presley.
She is survived by her husband, Earl, her children, Earl Jr., David, Cheryl, and Sheila; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren andby her sister Karen McCarthy and partner Bob, sister Janet Garland and husband Kent
Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Louise Wyman, her brother, Norris James, her sister, Nancy Wyman.
A heartfelt thank you to Kennebec Valley Assembly of God for their support and services in honoring Shirley's life, as the church was a significant part of her journey. The family would also like to express their gratitude to friends and family who gathered in love and support during this difficult time.

Shirley's sweet, outgoing spirit and unwavering love for her family will forever remain in our hearts.
