Shirley Evans Boyd
Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mrs. Shirley Evans Boyd, age 87, will be held 1:00 pm at New Life Church of the Nazarene in New Ellenton on Saturday January 17, 2026, with Pastor Ken Stewart officiating. Mrs. Boyd entered into rest on Wednesday December 24, 2025, at Anchor Post Acute. She was the wife of the late Mr. Howard V. Boyd and a daughter to the late Mr. John Charlie Evans and the late Mrs. Lucy McKinley Evans. Mrs. Boyd was born in Anderson, SC, but had made the Aiken area her residence since 1956. She was of the Christian faith and was a member of Mercy Church. Mrs. Boyd worked as a production worker for Pepperidge Farm for fifteen years, retiring in 1995. Her hobbies included spending time with her children and grandchildren and piddlin’ ‘round. Survivors include: one son Willim (Michele) W. Seigler, Aiken, SC; two daughters Tammy (Farrell) Seigler Morgan, Aiken, SC, and Kelley Seigler Godfrey, Alpharetta, GA; one brother Robert Bodie Evans, Orlando, FL; eleven grandchildren Diane Morgan, Farrell Morgan, Jr. Johnathan Morgan, Jennifer Armstrong, Sarah Hoppes, Ross Godfrey, James Godfrey, Joe Godfrey, William David Seigler, Madison Trumpold, and Chelsea Trumpold; eighteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and six fur children. Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by: two brothers John Terry Evans and John Charlie Evans, Jr.; one great grandchild Dryth Rhett Fulmer; and one fur child. A visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to service at New Life Church of the Nazarene 407 Jewel St New Ellenton, SC 29809.
