Shirley Ann Brock, age 69, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away on September 15, 2025, in Petoskey, Michigan. She was born on December 8, 1955, in Sault Ste. Marie to Mark and Hazel (Hein) Brock. Shirley grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and spent much of her life working as a caregiver at Tendercare, sparked by her compassionate spirit and her heart for helping others. She found joy in nature-whether photographing the outdoors, tending her garden (especially her beloved sunflowers), watching bees, fishing, hunting, or simply taking scenic drives and listening to rock n' roll but, above all, Shirley cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often bringing them along on her many adventures. She is survived by her son, Damien Brock of Kincheloe, Michigan; grandchildren, Hailey Brock and Jimmie Germain; great-grandchildren, Iroh Brock, Cailey Brock, Phoenix Couch, Kiera Germain, and Jimmie Germain Jr.; sister, Catherine Freeman of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; and nephews, Christopher Lee, Brendan Steven Brock, and Terrell Freeman Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Mark Merlin and Hazel Helen Brock; brother, Floyd Colvin; and sister, Carol Ann Gleason. Per Shirley's wishes, no formal services will be held. A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held at a later date. Condolences may be left to the family at www.familylifefh.com.
