Shirley Brown Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory - Branson on Dec. 18, 2025.
With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Shirley Brown, beloved wife, sister, daughter-in-law, aunt and friend.

Shirley was born November 21, 1949 in Titusville, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of George & Elizabeth (Hyde) Wakefield. After graduating from Titusville High School, Shirley entered the workforce. She worked many years for Subway sandwich shop as a manager. It was there that she met the love of her life, Bill Brown, and their story blossomed into a beautiful marriage after they moved to Branson in 1996.

After settling in Branson, Shirley began a career at Treasure Lake RV Resort. She found great fulfillment in her work and was a valued member of the resort family.

Shirley was a true NASCAR enthusiast, never missing a race and cheering for her favorite drivers with unstoppable excitement. Cross-stitch was another of her treasured hobbies.

Perhaps most meaningful was her love of family and heritage. She poured her heart into researching and creating her family tree.

Shirley entered into rest at her home in Branson on December 17, 2025 at the age of 76.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her family: husband, Bill Brown of Branson; brother, George Wakefield of Titusville; sisters, Kathy Hoak (John) of Big Horn, WY and Carol Haller of Hudson, FL; her mother-in-law, Nancy Brown of Titusville and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, George & Elizabeth Wakefield; brothers, Jack Wakefield and Skip Holbrook; one sister, Patricia Littlefield; and her father-in-law, Robert Brown.

Cremation arrangements were in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson with a celebration of Shirley's life to be held at a later date in Titusville.
