Shirley M. (Mattice) Carr, 76, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday after a short battle with brain cancer. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter J. Carr in 1998; and Elvis Presley in 1977. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Shelley Marshall; her two sons, Walter Carr Jr., and William (Rui Chen)Carr; her loving companion, Dave Herloski; her sister, Florence (Fred) Veitch; her brother, William Mattice Jr.; her three grandsons, Joshua Weaver, Justin Carr, and AJ Marshall; her two great-grandsons, Orion Weaver and Ophiuchus Weaver; her two nieces, Josephine Gugliotto Sweatland and Dawn Gugliotto-Teller; her nephew, John (Rita) Gugliotto along with several other nieces and nephews. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
