Shirley Ann Davis passed from this life on December 22, 2023, at the age of 88, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Shirley was born on March 19, 1935, in Coweta, Oklahoma, the daughter of Everett A. and Senna Mae (Mashburn) Ridley. Shirley grew up and attended school in Haskell, Oklahoma. Following her education, Shirley remained in Haskell and was later, on September 1, 1955, united in marriage to Jesse Taylor Davis. The couple established their initial home in Tulsa and later Greenville, Texas, returning to Tulsa in the late 1950s. In 1967, Shirley began working at Wiley Post Elementary School. 1972 Shirley and Jesse built their home in Osage, where they raised their children. Shirley continued working for Tulsa Public Schools until she retired in 1980 as a dietician. Following retirement, Shirley remained active and volunteered at Tulsa Osteopathic Hospital in the Gift and Flower Shop.

Shirley loved being outdoors. She and Jesse enjoyed fishing and camping with the kids and grandchildren at their favorite spot at Lake Carl Blackwell in Stillwater. Sewing and crocheting were also things she enjoyed doing in her spare time. Shirley would make baby blankets and donate them to the unwed mother's home in West Tulsa.

Survivors include her two sons, Michael Davis and wife Tammy of Osage and Victor (Butch) Davis and wife Kimberlee of Burneyville, Oklahoma; one daughter Teresa Couffer and husband Richard of Sand Springs; as well as seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, siblings J.D. Ridley, Dale Ridley, Vernon Ridley, Earnest Ridley, Jim Ridley, Eugene Ridley, Yvonne Burk, Betty Casebolt, and Ellen Rackley.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Noe officiating. Burial will follow in the Osage Cemetery. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Shirley at www.chapman-black.com.
