Shirley A. Dohey

Shirley A. (Hoak) Dohey, 89, of Forbes Road, passed away peacefully with her granddaughter holding her hand on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025. She was born May 24, 1936, in Westmoreland City, a daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy Lewis Hoak. Shirley retired from Westmoreland Hospital and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her greatest joy was travelling the U.S. in an RV with her husband, Jerry, who was also her best friend. She has spent the last part of her journey looking to see the Lord Almighty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Jerry G. Dohey, Sr., on June 3, 2025; son, Douglas Brian Dohey; and three siblings, Dorothy Hoak, Thomas Hoak, and Doris Scarano. She is survived by her son, Jerry Dohey Jr. (Tammi) of Robinson; daughter-in-law, Linda Dohey of Currituck, NC; six grandchildren, Brandi Umbaugh, Thomas Dohey, Blythe Dohey, Piper McGuire, Jerry Dohey, and Jesse Dohey; four great-grandchildren, Aidan and Avery Umbaugh and Lilianna and Lila Dohey; sister, Linda Martin (Tom) of Irwin; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends of Shirley will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, in CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W.
