Shirley Jean Dring

Grave side services for Shirley Russell Dring, age 74, of Farmerville, LA, are scheduled for 10:00AM, Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Simsboro City Cemetery with Rev. Hulen Warren officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.
Shirley was born on March 23, 1950 in Ruston, LA to B.S. "Jiggs" and Ruby May Russell and passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025 at Arbor Rose Assisted Living after a lengthy illness. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her kindness and love touched the hearts to all that knew her. Shirley was a graduate of Simsboro High School, Class of 1968.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles A Dring; and brother, Rick Russell.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Stacy Dring Martin (James); son, Jason B. Dring (Awais); grandchildren, Tanner J. Martin (Calie) and Tory J. Martin (Dylan); and twin great-grandsons, Levi and Liam Martin.
The family would like to extend their heartful gratitude to the staff of Arbor Rose Assisted Living and Elera Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Shirley's final years. Their kindness and dedication brought great comfort to Shirley and her family.
