John Francis "Jack" Dring

John Francis Dring, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Jack", passed away peacefully at home on May 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 95.
Jack was born in Peekskill, NY on January 16, 1930, to the late Le Roy and Maud (Belanger) Dring. He previously lived in Ossining, NY until moving to Fishkill, NY in 1986.
On December 10, 1950, Jack married the love of his life, Frances Ann Pietrobono, at St. Ann's Church in Ossining, NY. She survives at home.
Jack worked as a systems technician for AT&T in White Plains, NY for 39 years before his well-deserved retirement in 1989. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1949-1952, fighting in the Korean War.
In his leisure time, Jack enjoyed playing softball, bowling, golf, and horseshoes. He also loved to sing and was a dedicated parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill, NY.
He will be remembered as an incredibly warm and happy person and will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his beloved wife "Franny".
In addition to his loving wife, Jack is survived by his son, Jack Dring Jr. and his wife, Dawn of Selkirk, NY; his son, Bruce Dring and his partner, Judy of Hyde Park, NY; his daughter, Teri-Ann LaBarbera and her husband, Robert of the Villages, FL; his daughter, Linda Costa of Fishkill, NY; his daughter-in-law, Christine Dring of Wappingers Falls, NY; his grandchildren, Jodi Moder and her husband Frank, Jeffrey Dring and his wife Kate, Daniel Dring, Matthew Dring and his wife Carly, Charissa (primary caregiver) Raymond and her husband Julius, Dana-Rae Dring-O'Dell and her husband David, Robert LaBarbera and his wife Jennifer, Brian LaBarbera and his wife Lauren, Rachel Costa, and Angela Costa; his great-grandchildren: Cecilia, Elias, Kason, Brycen, Everly, and Emma; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
Jack was predeceased by his brother, Robert Dring; his sister, Mary Haigh; and his grandson, Bruce James Dring.
A Mass will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, 11:30am, at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, NY.
